This was one of the best days of racing ever for me.
I was a walk-on in Vegas that final year, and had a shot at winning the prestigious
National Auto Journalists Association Pro-Solo Driving Championship.
I ended up edging out David Coleman by 13 thousandths of a second...
...in front of all the right people: auto journalists.
It was the first time I ever raced a front-wheel drive car!
