I was a reserve deputy for a while and carried a badge.
Didn't do me a damn bit of good. Everytime I got pulled over and opened up the wallet,
the silver star didn't even get me a discount. About the only thing it did do was
guarantee my death in case of a hold up.
Better to not get pulled over in the first place.
